Hiccups – A Poem by M. M. Socks

I found a magic lamp (hiccup)
And a genie was inside (hiccup)
He told me if I rubbed his lamp
He’d grow up tall and wide (hiccup)

And grant me one special wish (hiccup)
This is what he said (hiccup)
But in the middle of my wish
I hiccuped instead (hiccup)

So instead of wishing riches (hiccup)
I didn’t get two dimes (hiccup)
I said, “I wish for a million – (hiccup)”
Now I must (hiccup) a million times
(HICCUP)
